Colonel Gupta founded Colonel Arun Gupta & Co in 1996 after he took early retirement from the Indian Army.
A Graduate in Mechanical Engineering & a Post Graduate in Defence Studies, Colonel Gupta is an alumni of St Stephen’s College, Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington & College of Combat, Mhow.
An avid follower of financial markets, Col Gupta has been an active investor in the stock markets since 1975 when few people had heard of Equities.
He has been conducting seminars and training sessions since 1980 to spread awareness about investing in equities; long-term savings; and, the power of compounding. A large number of people have benefited from his advice.
In his quest for improving his knowledge, he enrolled with the International College of Financial Planning in February 2005. After qualifying in the requisite examinations he was certified as a Financial Planner by the Financial Planning Standards Board (India), Mumbai (an affiliate of Financial Planning Standards Board (Denver), United States) in August 2006. At 59 years, Col Gupta is one of the most experienced Certified Financial Planners and the first retired Armed Forces officer to be so certified. He has specialised in the subjects of Risk Management; Insurance Planning; Retirement Planning; Employee Benefits Planning; Investment Planning; Tax Planning; Estate Planning; and, Financial Plan Construction.
Recognizing the need for clear, concise, understandable financial information, he started the company with a mission to provide individual investors with sound financial advice.
